Who you are
- Management experience hiring and leading a marketing team
- 7+ years of marketing experience with a strong B2C and startup background
- Superpowers in PR, UGC, or growth marketing, with numerical rigor to own metrics, and manage multiple user acquisition channels
- Experience orchestrating multiple marketing disciplines (PR, social, paid, content) into a unified engine
- Hands-on marketing leader that’s willing to pick up a shovel
- Bonus: obsessive, and comfortable with a fast-moving, startup environment

- We have a Head of Machine Learning because ML is core to GPTZero. We’re hiring this role because marketing is too
- You will report directly to the CEO
- Own and unify GPTZero's marketing function, bringing together efforts across PR, paid acquisition, social/UGC, content, and brand into one cohesive strategy
- Drive and define brand marketing, shaping how GPTZero shows up in the world and what we stand for
- Lead PR and comms efforts which should result in securing conference speaking slots, podcast appearances, and turning media moments into cross-channel amplification
- Be a player-coach. Roll up your sleeves on high-leverage work while coordinating with team members across growth, content, and exec comms
- Be the glue. When something hits, you're coordinating the cross-channel push across LinkedIn, TikTok, email, and beyond

- George Adam (Head of ML), Completed PhD in ML at University of Toronto and Vector Institute. ex-AWS research and ex-algorithmic trading at Scotiabank
- Hriday (Growth Lead), expert on taking products viral. Founded Wildfire, YC '18, raised $3M, scaled it to 1M users and exited to Opendoor. Most recently, he worked on growth at Perplexity
- Austin (Influencer Marketing Lead), previously ran the influencer motion at Copy AI to generate 120M views and 1M sign ups
Our take
Since generative AI exploded onto the scene, it has been put to good use across a range of industries. Unfortunately, it has also been used to ramp up the production of subpar content which is misleading or completely incorrect. Not to mention it has helped proliferate academic fraud.
GPTZero is on a mission to help combat this AI epidemic, with a platform capable of identifying content written by AI tools such as ChatGPT. Its solutions can help teachers, students, writers, recruiters and more to build back the trust that has been broken by easy-to-access gen-AI.
The company's mission is certainly compelling, and investors agree, with GPTZero receiving impressive funding already. It will use the funds to support its roadmap which includes the development and launch of many new features such as an editor platform that records and cites AI usage.
