Who you are

5+ years of experience in Platform, Site Reliability, Infrastructure, or similar roles
Strong experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes a plus)
Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and modern infrastructure automation tools
Coding and scripting proficiency (Python, Go, Bash, etc.)
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred) and distributed systems
Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and incident management best practices
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, where adaptability and ownership are essential

What the job involves

As a Platform Engineer, you’ll join our growing infrastructure team in building, scaling, and fine-tuning the systems that keep our services running smoothly
You’ll help architect the backbone of our platform, focusing on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement. While your primary responsibility will be infrastructure, coding and problem-solving across the stack are core parts of the role
As a fast-growing startup, we all roll up our sleeves where needed, so flexibility and a collaborative spirit are key
Architect, design, and implement secure, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure solutions to support a rapidly growing product
Design and implement backend and frontend services, APIs, and data pipelines to support AI-driven workflows
Own features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to testing and production deployment
Develop and maintain automation through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
Monitor, optimize, and scale our cloud infrastructure for performance and reliability
Establish and enforce best practices for observability, logging, and alerting
Lead and participate in incident response, troubleshooting complex issues and driving postmortem learning and improvements
Collaborate across engineering teams to improve developer velocity while balancing reliability, security, and cost

Aiming to release value in the construction market, PermitFlow is an AI-powered construction permit application and management platform. It exists to simplify the pre-construction process for builders and owners, enabling them to move forward with projects more easily.

The company offers a standardized permit application workflow through which users can easily prepare and submit permit applications, receive approvals, and respond to municipal comments on one single platform. This saves time, reduces errors and shortens municipal review cycles, ultimately speeding up the time taken to permit.
