Who you are

Deeply experienced in software product management, especially in low-level, system, or AI software
Technically fluent in CPU architectures and hands-on with toolchains, firmware, and AI/ML frameworks
A strong communicator and collaborator, comfortable translating between engineers, execs, and customers
Familiar with open-source ecosystems, software licensing, and semiconductor/IP market dynamics

What the job involves

We're looking for a seasoned product leader to drive the strategy and success of software products tied to CPU and AI IP, spanning architectures like RISC-V, Arm, and x86.
This role blends product vision, technical depth, and cross-functional collaboration to shape a world-class software ecosystem—one that helps customers get the most out of our IP offerings
We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting
Drive product strategy and roadmaps for CPU, system, and AI software that tightly align with IP goals
Partner with engineering and architecture teams to define, develop, and deliver best-in-class software
Engage with developer and partner communities (e.g., LLVM, TensorFlow, Linux distros) to grow adoption
Collaborate across marketing, sales, and BD to craft go-to-market strategies and technical positioning
How to shape an integrated hardware-software story in a fast-evolving compute and AI landscape
Ways to influence open-source and industry ecosystems through product leadership
How world-class software experiences accelerate IP adoption across verticals like automotive, edge, and HPC
What it takes to launch and scale high-performance, developer-centric tools in a competitive space

Our take

Advances in artificial intelligence apps, combined with a global chip shortage, are strong tailwinds for chip processor Tenstorrent. The semi-conducter developer is designing specialized chips for running artificial intelligence applications, building chips for what it calls "software 2.0".

The company’s unique approach is to build for this future software, which it believes will be written at a higher level. Combining this with conditional computing, Tenstorrent supports a scalable distributed network approach that is analogous to a human brain.

While the market for specialised AI hardware is destined to be gigantic, the company has to compete with a plethora of hopeful startups (as well as major tech companies like NVIDIA and Qualcomm). That said, Tenstorrent boasts an excellent trajectory so far, with its latest moves including unveiling its high-end Wormhole AI processors, and a partnership with LG which will see the development of chips for "Affectionate Intelligence".
