• Qualified Accounting experience
• Qualified Accountant in Germany or equivalent as a degree
• Experience in working with compliance, audit, and statutory filings
• Strong experience in inter-company accounting and a very good understanding of HGBs; solid IFRS accounting understanding is a plus

• We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant (w/m/d) for our German subsidiary!
• As a Senior Accountant, you are part of the Tibber finance team and will be playing an integral part in the growth of our global finance function
• We are expanding our Berlin-based team and our ideal candidate is comfortable with both office and hybrid ways of working

• Closing and reporting
• Responsibility for the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals preparation and analysis versus prior periods as well as budgets and forecasts
• Cash forecasting and submission of VAT and other statutory tax declarations for the German entity
• Accounting policies/procedures
• You will, along with the local Finance Manager and our global Head of Accounting develop policies and instructions to be followed by the German entity
• You will ensure that group policies and instructions are adhered to
• End-to-end process ownership
• You will develop, enhance and maintain control processes to ensure that accounting is complete and accurate
• Coordinate the approval process for external invoices and employee travel expenses, making sure we have the relevant supporting documents, also for intercompany re-invoicing and reconciliations between entities
• System implementations
• The company is in the process of implementing a new ERP system (NetSuite), and you will have the opportunity to work with the Finance Manager to migrate to NetSuite
• You will work to automate the connection between upstream systems and NetSuite such as our invoicing and expense management tools
• Stakeholder management
• We see stakeholder management as a critical part of our role in finance

• You will play a key role in communicating with external stakeholders such as tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities
