Director of Compliance, Scratchpay

• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise policies & procedures and regulatory compliance in the financial services industry, with experience in fintech being a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
• 10 or more years of financial regulatory compliance experience (if you don't feel you have the exact number of years, but have highly relevant experience, we still encourage you to apply!)
• Ability to work autonomously on complex assignments
• Experience leading process improvement efforts resulting in efficiencies and productivity gain
• Expertise with G-Suite, NMLS, other relevant tools and software

• Scratch Financial Inc. is looking for a highly experienced, collaborative, passionate, and dedicated Director of Compliance to help us establish and maintain a robust Compliance program
• The Director of Compliance will be primarily responsible for overseeing the Company’s compliance management systems related to bank partnerships, new and existing financial products, consumer privacy and information regulations, and other regulations that apply to the Company
• As the compliance leader and subject matter expert, the Director of Compliance is responsible for establishing standards and implementing procedures to ensure that the compliance programs throughout the organization are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Providing reasonable assurance to senior management and the Board that there are effective and efficient policies and procedures in place, well understood and respected by all employees, and that the Company is complying with all regulatory requirements
• Coordinating and being the point person for all bank partnership relationships - including but not limited to reporting, monitoring, testing, and external audits
• Managing, training, and providing professional development to a team of mid-level and junior compliance managers, analysts, and specialists
• Defining the necessary level of knowledge on existing and emerging regulatory compliance requirements across the organization
• Developing the annual CMS work plan that reflects the organization's unique characteristics
• Periodically revising the CMS in light of changes
• Overseeing and monitoring the implementation of the CMS, including the annual risk assessment
• Providing guidance, advice, and training at a department and enterprise level
• Providing strategic direction to the executive and management teams on compliance
• Responsibility for the Compliance Committee quarterly & annual meetings including the preparation of reports and meeting books
• Acting as the main point of contact with external stakeholders including regulators, team members at our partner bank, and others with respect to supervisory reviews, third party audits, and new product discussions
• Managing the coordination efforts related to audits, reviews, and examinations
• Developing policies and programs that encourage managers and employees to report suspected fraud and other improprieties, without fear of retaliation
• Coordinating internal compliance monitoring review and monitoring activities, including periodic reviews of departments
• Coordinating and monitoring external review processes
• Responsibility for training material selection and coordinating implementation with People Ops
