Who you are
- You are graduating in 2026
- You are able to start a 10 weeks internship from June 23rd 2025
- The ability to contextualise and build a narrative around your work
- Analytical, assessment and problem solving skills, you’re a proactive problem finder, not just a problem solver
- An open attitude to feedback and willingness to learn
- Foundational knowledge of the discipline you are applying for (we don’t expect you to know everything, but you need to have enough skill to navigate the organisation and work)
- Eligible to work in the United Kingdom
- You’ve got a portfolio that demonstrates a mix of well-crafted and user centred work
- Strong visual design skills and a passion for finding solutions that allow customers to intuitively use our products
- You’re able to clearly rationalise your decisions to other team members
- You’re curious about learning from user testing and iterating on your work
- Nice to have - mobile interface work and prototyping
What the job involves
- This is an exciting opportunity to kick start your career and make a meaningful impact
- You will be joining us for 10 weeks in the summer (23rd June - 29th August 2025)
- You’ll be onboarded with the global internship cohort in one of our offices and learn the basics of being a Wiser
- Design at Wise is a multidisciplinary team and we sometimes call it capital ‘D’ Design. While our craft is varied, human-centred design and design thinking unite us
- You’ll get to know Wise customers, building empathy and deep understanding of their needs
- You’ll be honing and flexing your craft skills in a collaborative environment
- You’ll be connecting with your sponsor, fellow interns, and the broader design community to inject fresh creative thinking into the business

Our take
Wise started when the two founders realised they would be better off trading Estonian kroons for British pounds (and vice versa) between themselves rather than going through banks. That was back in 2011, and they've since grown Wise into one of Europe's most successful tech businesses, exchanging billions of currency every month.
Wise rapidly grew by solving a significant problem for customers, who lost too much money to banks when exchanging currency. They've attracted investment from some of the best investors in the world, from Andreesen Horowitz to Index Ventures and even Richard Branson.
The challenge for Wise will be maintaining their edge and brand power in a market that's becoming increasingly crowded with new entrants (like Revolut and Monzo) and incumbents (traditional banks) trying to catch up. To do so, the company is ramping up its digital and marketing strategies, as well as pushing for further development of its existing products.
