Company mission

We’re on a mission. And it’s money without borders. Instant, convenient, transparent and — eventually — free.

Role

Who you are

  • Expert technical knowledge of Google Tag Manager and server-side tagging
  • Sound technical knowledge of at least one event-level analytics platform like Mixpanel, Google Analytics, or Snowplow
  • Can communicate comfortably with engineers when implementing or debugging a tracking solution, and also explain complex information to non-technical audiences
  • Experience managing digital analytics specialists as well planning team activities, agency support, budgets and forecasting
  • Ability to understand technically complex topics and explain it to non technical people (marketing)
  • Ability to transform various requests from marketing stakeholders into clear requirements, and prioritise solving them based on business impact
  • You’re familiar with a wide range of marketing technology across both web and app measurement. Have built or implemented content management systems on large web portals
  • Communicating clearly and logically – You are able to effectively frame problems to influence across the team. You are comfortable communicating with internal and external partners on challenging issues, whether in written format or at sprint planning with the team
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, SQL, Looker Studio is advantageous, but not mandatory

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for a Digital Analytics Lead to join our growing marketing team in London
  • This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise’s mission, grow as a digital analytics person, and help save millions for our customers around the world
  • Lead the team owning Wise’s web and app tracking with the autonomy to design and build the best possible solutions
  • Lead measurement initiatives with Paid and Organic marketing channels and translate their requirements into tracking plans
  • You’ll be working closely with Paid and Organic marketing channels, Developers and Analysts and you’ll enable informed decisions as well as inspire the highest standards of execution
  • You’ll report to the head of organic growth, whose role is to help you find your own path to having a big impact across Wise marketing teams
  • Choose your path to impact – we believe people are most empowered when they work in teams that can act autonomously. So rather than telling you what to do, you’ll work with your team to create a vision of your own. Of course, you can always gather feedback from smart, curious people across Wise but you’ll have the freedom to make your own calls
  • Grow as a leader – You will build and inspire your own team, but also other teams to contribute to our mission
  • Make sure that the data points collected on the websites and apps are accurate through quality assurance processes
  • Guide marketing analysts through privacy changes and strategies to handle data measurement loss in a cookieless context, such as consent mode and enhanced conversions

Our take

Wise started when the two founders realised they would be better off trading Estonian kroons for British pounds (and vice versa) between themselves rather than going through banks. That was back in 2011, and they've since grown Wise into one of Europe's most successful tech businesses, exchanging billions of currency every month.

Wise rapidly grew by solving a significant problem for customers, who lost too much money to banks when exchanging currency. They've attracted investment from some of the best investors in the world, from Andreesen Horowitz to Index Ventures and even Richard Branson.

The challenge for Wise will be maintaining their edge and brand power in a market that's becoming increasingly crowded with new entrants (like Revolut and Monzo) and incumbents (traditional banks) trying to catch up. To do so, the company is ramping up its digital and marketing strategies, as well as pushing for further development of its existing products.
