Who you are
- 8-10 years of relevant ad/agency/platform sales experience
- Proven success exceeding sales quotas & growing revenues YoY through generating customer centric solutions
- Client relationship builder with executive presence
- Deep understanding of the media landscape, specifically programmatic & social
- Commercial minded and data based thinker
- Understanding of CPG industry
- Success in operating in fast paced environment
- Deals well with ambiguity; ability to stay focused in dynamic, rapidly-changing environments
- Must be open to travel (2-3x/month); client meetings, conferences, panels, etc

What the job involves
- Instacart is expanding its data-partnerships team and is looking for an experienced Sr. Sales Executive to drive large scale data partnerships via Instacart data & measurement solutions with select Agency Holding Companies
- The Sr. Sales Executive will be responsible for data revenue growth from agencies specifically
- This quota carrying Sr. Sales Executive will engage with programmatic / video / social leadership and key account teams at Agency Hold Co’s to drive awareness and activation of Instacart data & measurement solutions
- They will also closely align with internal cross functional colleagues including Ads Product, Brand Sales, Ad Solutions, Partnerships, and Marketing to successfully drive revenue generating strategies
- Represent Instacart’s data solutions with excellence across specific agency hold co’s
- Grow existing & generate new revenue streams via our data solutions at specific agency hold co’s, in partnership with Instacart’s Agency Development and Brand Partnerships teams
- Map, develop and maintain trusting relationships with programmatic / video / social / brand leads at agency hold co’s
- Sales operations; pipeline development, revenue forecasting & reporting
- Requires excellent storytelling abilities; building and giving of presentations to prospective clients
- Partner and coordinate with Instacart sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals & contracts with assigned partners
- Consult with Instacart legal, sales management, business development and product on new commercial opportunities
- Aid in building out best in class data solutions and go to market strategies for Instacart

Instacart is an online grocery marketplace that operates a pick-up and delivery system in the US and Canada. Unlike standard grocery shopping, Instacart sends a “personal shopper” to your local store to buy your products, who then delivers them straight to your door on the same day via their own car. The company also supplies the Instacart Platform, with services for stores encompassing eCommerce, fulfilment, in-store, ads, and insights.
The increased modernization of society has meant more than ever that consumers are looking to buy their groceries online, making space for apps like Instacart to become daily life staples for years to come. Although the company must compete with other grocery store delivery services, such as Walmart’s own, it has expanded to cover large percentages of US and Canadian households, and is now aligned with over 900 retail banners across more than 75,000 locations.
Instacart's software offerings signify the company's focus on tech, designed to move it away from its dependence on the gig economy. To this end, the company has acquired FoodStorm, an order management system that powers end-to-end order-ahead and catering, integrating its technology into its enterprise suite. Despite an IPO in September 2023, market downturns have necessitated a 7% workforce cut in 2024, focused on middle management and creating a flatter organisational structure. With a new streamlined workforce, here's to hoping Instacart can maintain its momentum.
