Who you are
- 5+ years experience enterprise sales, business development, consulting, or comparable roles
- Experience in employee benefits/healthcare sales preferred
- Tenacious and persistent
- Skilled negotiator on business terms of a contract

What the job involves
- We are looking for highly experienced professionals with backgrounds in business development, enterprise sales, and consulting
- You should be passionate about mental health and believe you have a special skill at sparking passion in others
- You will regularly engage in stories to help illustrate concepts and view storytelling as a critical skill to always be developing
- You will leverage a wide range of skill sets including verbal communication, written communication, project management, and quantitative abilities
- Exceeding your annual quota of bringing in new Lyra employer partners
- Inspiring senior executives at leading companies (5,000+ employees) to urgently prioritize mental health
- Prospecting new potential business independently and in collaboration with key Lyra lead generation partners
- Educating HR leaders about the US mental health care system and Lyra’s mental health benefits
- Finding ways to communicate Lyra’s unique value verbally, in writing, and quantitatively
- Successfully negotiating large six and seven-figure contracts with senior HR, Finance, and Procurement executives
- Consistently documenting your deal progress to ensure Lyra has the data needed to grow our business
- Coordinating with Lyra’s Customer Success team to ensure successfully implementations
Our take
In the US, millions of people suffer from mental illness each year. This is not only a detriment to individuals, but to businesses as well - with research suggesting that depression and anxiety disorders lead to $1 trillion in lost productivity worldwide each year.
Lyra Health is out to tackle these issues head-on, by delivering mental health care for employees. The company offers video counselling sessions and one-to-one messaging to help users with a variety of conditions including anxiety, depression and substance use disorder.
The company is a key player in the sector alongside peers like Calm, Genoa and Talkspace. Impressively, it boasts a 90% satisfaction rate across its more than 2 million members, demonstrating the impact its products can have.
In 2025, Lyra Health launched a ‘clinical-grade’ chatbot to its offering. This has been met with mixed feelings due to evidence that AI can act unpredictably in response to mental health concerns. It will take time to see whether this feature will enhance or diminish the user experience.
