Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or CPA/CFA plus)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial data
- Ability to think strategically and exercise sound business judgment
- Prior experience with NetSuite and/or other financial planning & forecasting tools
- Prior experience in Investment banking, VC, or Telecom (plus)
- A high bar for accuracy and the ability to build scalable, automated reporting processes
What the job involves
- Skylo is hiring a Corporate FP&A Manager to help drive the mission of making satellite connectivity accessible to everyone
- This high-visibility role is a key contributor in shaping financial strategy and ensuring that operational targets result in long-term business success
- The position requires a highly analytical professional capable of providing the financial clarity needed to scale a global business in a fast-paced environment
- Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes ensuring alignment with company goals
- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions
- Analyze financial performance against KPIs, identifying and highlighting pertinent financial information
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that influence business decisions
- Collaborate with Accounting, Analytics, and other internal teams for system implementation & automation efforts
- Support other ad hoc financial analysis & reporting as required
- Own the Unit Economics model. partner with Product and Engineering to track the cost-of-service (COGS) and how it impacts profitability at the customer or device level
Our take
Skylo connects Internet of Things (IoT) devices to satellite networks using the cellular-based Narrowband IoT protocol. It is considered one of the world’s most affordable and ubiquitous networks that connects any machine or sensor.
The company stands out for being the first to leverage the aforementioned protocol, which allows its customers to instantaneously connect billions of devices in remote areas, without having to wait for any new satellites to launch. Having tested its technology with government and enterprise clients, the company then invested funding into scaling service in emerging markets, starting with India and Southeast Asia.
More recently, Skylo has focused on forming partnerships, such as with IoT firm FocusPoint and telecommunications equipment company Anritsu Corporation, through which it has helped deliver IoT monitoring and emergency escalation services and enhanced Non-Terrestrial Network device testing. It also enjoyed an oversubscribed round of funding in 2025, after growing its commercial coverage area to include Brazil, Australia and New Zealand. These two significant wins exemplify Skylo's status as a leading connectivity company.
