Role
Who you are
- We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer with experience in the Linux security domain
- This person should be able to explore new technologies, design and develop innovative ideas from scratch, and drive new detection capabilities and infrastructure at scale for our products
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, developing complex systems in modern C++
- Proficient in Linux OS architecture, security, and internals
- Hands-on experience with Linux low-level development and debugging
- Previous experience of working on a production-grade product with a large-scale deployment
Desirable
- Linux kernel development or kernel tracing
- Hands-on experience with eBPF
- Container internals, platforms, and orchestrators such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Linux networking subsystem
- Software development in either Rust, Go, or Python
What the job involves
- The role includes end-to-end responsibility for new detection capabilities, starting from researching the landscape of new Linux/Containers related security technologies, through designing detection strategies and algorithms, and delivering them at scale
- You will work on low-level Kernel hooks to complicated detection engines and pure system engineering challenges
- Your deliveries will enhance the security of different Linux and cloud workloads platforms protected by our product, which serves thousands of users (from enterprise & public sector clients across the globe, including some of the largest companies globally)
- Software Development (70-80% of time)
- Conduct low-level research and developer new features
- Peer code reviews; Participate in the team’s design reviews
- Learn new technologies in the Linux and Cloud workloads security domains
- Architect end-to-end security solutions for complex features with loose problem definition
- Modeling and POC of solutions for complex problems
- Support customers with issues and requests within the team’s domain

SentinelOne is a cybersecurity company that matches this automation with machine learning-focused software designed to help businesses defend against online attacks.
The company expanded the scope of its business from the endpoint security market to three markets valued at a combined $30 billion, including the corporate endpoint security and IT operations management markets. This gives SentinelOne a bigger potential customer base, although it also puts them in direct competition with more focused cybersecurity companies, in addition to its biggest competitor, CrowdStrike.
When the company went public in 2021, it made financial headlines as the highest-valued cybersecurity IPO ever, which gave SentinelOne a market capitalisation of $10 billion. However, it's since fallen to around $ 4 billion. It has subsequently launched S Ventures, a $100M fund, through which SentinelOne invests in cybersecurity startups and has expanded its partnership with major tax firm KPMG to accelerate cyber investigations and responses to threats.
