Who you are
- 4+ years of product management experience, ideally in consumer tech or early-stage environments
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with a strong bias toward action and experimentation
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills grounded in user needs and data
- Collaborative communicator who thrives in highly cross-functional settings
- Curious or existing experience with AI and LLM-based products or prompt design
What the job involves
- Join our Innovation team to shape the future of learning experiences beyond our core MasterClass product. In this role, you’ll work on MasterClass On Call and other 0→1 initiatives, experimenting with novel formats, AI-enabled learning experiences, and cutting-edge consumer tec
- You’ll be part of a fast-moving, mission-driven group focused on truth-seeking, rapid iteration, and bold bets
- At MasterClass, learning is at the core of everything we do, including how we grow our team. You’ll gain hands-on experience shipping MVPs, working cross-functionally with world-class teams, and bringing AI-powered consumer experiences to market. If you want to expand your product toolkit, solve new problems, and help define what’s next in education, this role is for you
- Lead rapid experimentation and product execution for On Call and other innovation initiatives
- Design and validate hypotheses through lean MVPs and in-market testing
- Collaborate across engineering, data, design, and the AI teams to build new learning experiences
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to drive iteration and product decisions
- Champion AI-first approaches to prototyping, roleplay design, and prompting
- Balance execution with long-term thinking, adapting quickly in a fast-moving environment
Our take
MasterClass is a streaming platform that offers its members the chance to learn skills and theory directly from the best in the business, all with celebrity status. For example, learning to cook with Gordon Ramsay, mastering tennis techniques with Serena Williams, and perfecting songwriting with Alicia Keys.
The streaming platform provides more than 100 classes across nine categories including sport, wellness, music, food, and business. Each class is made up of around 20 short video lessons, accompanied by a workbook and a members’ community.
With a $2.5 billion valuation and no shortage of funding, MasterClass is seen as a leader in the edtech market and differentiates itself from fierce competitors Udacity and Udemy by blurring the line between education and entertainment.
