Who you are
- Our ideal candidate is entrepreneurial and passionate about building amazing products that add value to our users’ lives
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or related field and/or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing digital productions from ideation to implementation
- Strong portfolio with examples of user-focused problems solved via creative UI solutions, design systems, and asset creation
- Experience working within a software as a service (SaaS) company preferred
- Experience working within a start-up and/or ambiguous environment, with proven experience to be adaptable preferred
What the job involves
- As the Product Designer, you will own aspects of the design process and actively shape our expanding design team
- What you build will directly affect the lives of patients and ease the load that hospital organizations shoulder every day
- The scope of the role is broad, and you'll get to see the impact of your work as you steward your product from ideation through implementation
- This role will directly support our Reputation Management Division, more specifically, our Transparency Team
- You will work to develop solutions that impact both health systems and the patients they serve
- By analyzing patient feedback captured from 1st- and 3rd-party sources, health systems aim to gain a more holistic view of the patient experience and identify actions they can take to make improvements in those areas
- Similarly, by surfacing this feedback in the form of ratings and reviews on a health system's provider pages, patients will become better equipped to make informed decisions in their care search

- Act as an advocate for exceptional experiences when partnering with product and engineering on roadmap and feature execution
- Participate in and/or lead user interviews and research to better understand needs to inform design strategy
- Construct user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts for validation
- Develop and deliver well-documented, high-fidelity visuals that accurately represent Loyal’s brand and design system standards
- Present and communicate concepts, designs, and prototypes to cross-functional partners with clarity
- Contribute to and positively shape the design team’s culture through collaboration, feedback, and process iteration
Our take
The US healthcare system is notoriously disjointed, making for a complex and sometimes hostile patient journey that can leave many dissatisfied. This is a problem: the US patient is a customer, and dissatisfied customers take their business elsewhere.
Loyal has developed a number of AI tools that providers can deploy to keep the patient journey smooth and their loyalty firm, like a symptom checker and chatbot on the patient side, for example, and for physicians there’s tools for triage, outreach, and relationship management.
Customer retention tech for the healthcare system isn’t a new concept, but it’s one that Loyal is doing a good job getting out to its target market. It’s used by over 55k providers across 290 hospitals in over 35 health systems, demonstrating the products add real value in what’s a lively and competitive US health provider market.
