Front End Software Engineer, Tomo

• 2+ years of experience delivering meaningful software projects to production
• Experience with delivering high-quality customer experiences on large consumer-facing websites, including a deep understanding of front-end technology stacks and how to use them to produce performant, satisfying, well-crafted user experiences
• An understanding of modern software engineering practices, including logging, monitoring, continuous deployment, and automated testing
• Proficiency with React and/or Next.js
• You’re inquisitive, ready to engage in vibrant debate, make difficult decisions quickly, and learn continuously
• Interest in using AI tools as part of your developer workflow

Desirable

• You’ll be joining our demand generation or efficiency teams, whose missions are to build transparent, delightful experiences to demystify the mortgage process, empower homebuyers to purchase with confidence, and improve our internal capability to deliver those experiences
• Reports To: Engineering Manager
• Building and maintaining customer experiences using Typescript, React and Next.js
• Designing, styling and testing with Tailwind, Storybook and Vitest
• Contributing to API design and integration patterns across services
• Deploying and supporting systems in production as part of an on-call rotation
• Following healthy engineering practices, including code review, iterative delivery, automated testing, and continuous deployment
• Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless customer experiences
• Working closely with user experience designers in promoting accessibility best practices, design languages and brand recognition efforts
• Leveraging AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps tooling to ensure reliability and performance
