• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in a SaaS Controller role
• Proven expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 350 / 985 capitalization principles
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
• Experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data
• Strong leadership experience (3–5 years managing teams), with a hands-on approach and mentoring mindset
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with evolving processes

Desirable

• The Controller will own and optimize all aspects of Notable’s accounting and financial operations
• You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to ensure our financial practices are accurate, compliant, and built to scale with the business
• You’ll lead through change, build out policies, processes, and workflows, and provide cross-functional guidance on ASC requirements
• Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, fixed assets, and tax compliance
• Drive SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606, ensuring accurate and timely recognition across contracts, renewals, and usage-based models
• Oversee capitalization of software development costs and commissions under ASC 350 & ASC 985, ensuring audit-ready documentation
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX-compliant processes
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles, delivering accurate financial statements and variance analyses
• Partner with FP&A to drive forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling that supports strategic decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align billing, invoicing, and contract management with GAAP standards
• Lead process improvement and finance automation initiatives using ERP tools like NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Manage external audits and ensure GAAP and regulatory compliance
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing accounting team with a focus on accuracy, accountability, and growth
