Role
Who you are
- We seek an energetic and experienced Senior Financial Operations Associate, reporting to the Head of Finance, to join our high-growth company
- 5-8 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or a related analytical role. Experience at SaaS/Hardware company is a plus
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills - fluent in building from scratch, structuring assumptions, and stress-testing outputs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business partnership mindset
- Adaptable to changing priorities and capable of performing under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to distill complex financial analyses into clear, actionable insights for both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Proven experience partnering cross-functionally with teams like Product, Ops, and Sales to inform strategy and enable data-driven decision-making
- Self-starter mentality with a focus on accuracy, accountability, and ownership
What the job involves
- The Senior Financial Operations Associate will play a key role in partnering with business leaders to translate strategic initiatives into actionable financial forecasts
- This role will be responsible for identifying risks and opportunities, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving the automation and scalability of financial processes, among other critical responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve dynamic financial models supporting the organization's budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Lead modeling efforts for special projects, including new product launches, pricing strategies, and capital allocation
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior leadership to convey analysis conclusions and recommendations, including variance analysis and key performance metrics
- Partner with senior leadership/department leaders to analyze key data, uncover meaningful trends, and translate insights into strategic, actionable recommendations
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that support business objectives
- Streamline financial data collection while driving automation and scalability across financial processes and reporting tools
- Support the successful adoption of new processes, operational functions, and technologies
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends
- Navigate in an ambiguous environment and bring structure to undefined opportunities. There won’t always be playbooks or templates; instead, you will create them
- Support ad-hoc business initiatives
Our take
In the event of an accident or fall, elder care facilities largely rely on outdated nurse call systems, which can mean residents wait longer than necessary to receive care or attention. Sage solves this problem by providing carers and institutions with a modern operating system.
Sage's caregiver app allows carers to identify patients in need of help, as well as providing tools for triage and the reviewing of care information. As one of the first companies to bring a data-driven approach to elder care in this way, Sage has received strong attention and raised an impressive $35 million in funding in 2024.
The age-tech market is growing steadily, and becoming more competitive, which means Sage will need to invest heavily in scaling its outreach in order to consolidate its progress. That said, it has established an early foothold which gives it a place to work from as it develops into the future.
