Role
Who you are
- We are looking for an experienced software engineer with a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field and 8+ years of experience
- You have strong expertise in full-stack development, algorithm design, and high-performance systems, and a proven ability to deliver scalable, reliable software in a collaborative agile environment
- Python and C++
- Extensive experience in developing web-based software applications (React, JavaScript, CSS)
- Algorithm development and optimization
- Server and backend architecture and development (NodeJS, database)
- Real time performance optimization and parallel processing such as multi-threading and GPU (scalability, robustness)

What the job involves
- Dotmatics is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer who is excited to join a world class team of software engineers and scientists, enabling scientific data analytics for major biopharma and life science researchers
- You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software products and algorithms for efficient data analysis and management
- You will work with the team to push the envelope on creating novel and sophisticated algorithms with global impact in advancing data analytics in life sciences
- Create algorithms and software products for efficient data compression, decompression, and visualization
- Design and develop scalable enterprise and desktop-based software solutions that manage massive amounts of data for PMI’s biopharma customers
- Create scientific data management and visualization products with intuitive UI/UX
- Maintain and support these products deployed at customer sites to optimize adoption
- Document and maintain technical specifications and supporting materials
- Ensure high code quality through automated and rigorous unit tests, code reviews, and adhering to coding standards
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and routine stand-ups
- Work with cross-functional teams across the globe to ensure high-quality product delivery and maintenance for PMI customers

The deal not only expands Siemens' total addressable market by $11B but also creates a first-of-its-kind digital thread connecting R&D through production in Life Science. For Dotmatics, the acquisitions shows the strategic importance of solving the scientific data bottleneck and signals that its platform is set to play an even larger role in accelerating breakthrough innovation worldwide.
