Role

Who you are

  • 7+ years’ experience as a technology risk and/or audit professional preferably in financial services
  • Experience in leading/facilitating audits or engagements based on global best practice frameworks such as CobiT, ITIL, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001/22301, CIS, NIST CSF etc
  • Experience in cyber security and/or business continuity/resilience audits or implementation projects
  • Experience in leading a team of tech risk, audit and/or control testing professionals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective trustworthy relationships with the platform, security and business stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at the same time to complete work
  • Knowledge in business continuity, data management, security and encryption, and vulnerability analysis,

Desirable

  • Familiarity with programming languages such Java, golang
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, ISO27001 LA etc

What the job involves

  • As the Senior Technology Risk Manager at Wise, you will be one of the leaders within the Technology Risk team
  • Primarily responsible for monitoring and oversight of technology risks/controls covering key domains such as platform, information security and data
  • You will also be working to improve control assurance/testing practices and coverage across the board
  • Partnering with various technology, business and risk leaders to make risk simple, measurable and visible to help Wise make faster, bolder decisions critical for our mission without compromising safety, customer experience and scalability
  • This is an exciting opportunity if you have technology risk management, IT audit and/or information security experience and are looking to have an impact with your work
  • The role will report to and be supported by the Group Head of Technology Risk and be based in London
  • Lead/facilitate risk assessment exercises for technology risks covering platform, information security and data domains
  • Maintain, improve and update our technology risk taxonomy
  • Be responsible of risk appetite & KRI reporting for technology risks and continuously improve/adapt relevant metrics
  • Continuously support/guide 1LoD functions to improve the control environment to mitigate relevant risk as expected
  • Lead BAU monitoring tasks for Tech Risk which would cover change reviews, incident analysis, issues/action tracking etc
  • Participate and support ongoing compliance initiatives such as DORA, OpRes etc
  • Lead control testing efforts across the board and maintain/improve control effectiveness reporting
  • Collaborate with tech risk engineering to support the build of continuous oversight setup
