Who you are

You have 8+ years of product design experience, with significant work on complex financial or enterprise products
You excel at breaking down ambiguous problems and driving clarity through design
You have experience designing systems that work together seamlessly
You can lead projects independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners
You have strong interaction and visual design skills, with attention to detail and craft
You're passionate about creating intuitive experiences for complex workflows
You have experience with tax, compliance, or regulatory products (bonus)

What the job involves

You’ll be a key part of a team whose work is massively impactful to both our external customers and internal teams
Design end-to-end experiences for Mercury's tax compliance tools, with initial focus on 1099 reporting
Create cohesive user journeys across multiple surfaces (compliance workflows, tax document collection, reporting dashboards)
Partner closely with executives, product, and engineering to shape product strategy and execution
Drive and maintain high standards for interaction and visual design
Help establish design patterns that scale across Mercury's compliance and tax products
Transform complex regulatory requirements into intuitive user experiences
