Who you are
- This is a role for a designer who thrives at the intersection of systems and storytelling. Someone who can define timeless brand foundations while also creating standout expressions that inspire, resonate, and endure
- 6+ years of experience in brand design at leading agencies, technology companies, or in-house creative teams
- A portfolio that demonstrates system-level design excellence and world-class creative execution across campaigns and platforms
- Mastery of design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite; motion design proficiency a plus)
- Strong command of typography, color, composition, and motion, with a proven eye for detail and craft
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams at the intersection of marketing, product, and engineering
- Ability to drive work from concept to final execution in fast-paced, iterative environments
Desirable
- Experience creating or scaling brand identity systems globally
- Exposure to motion design, web/digital platforms, and experiential activations
- Strong presentation and communication skills able to inspire confidence in design direction across stakeholders
- Interest in AI, creativity, and shaping the cultural narrative around new technologies
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Brand Designer to shape how Replit is experienced across the world. You will be responsible for evolving our identity system, crafting breakthrough design across campaigns and surfaces, and ensuring our brand shows up with clarity, consistency, and cultural impact
- You’ll move fluidly from high-level concepting to meticulous execution, working closely with marketing, product, and external partners to bring the Replit story to life
- This role reports directly to the Executive Creative Director, ensuring close collaboration on vision, craft, and execution
- Define and evolve Replit’s global identity system (typography, color, motion, iconography, and design principles.)
- Lead design for high-profile product launches, campaigns, events, and cultural activations
- Create scalable systems and guidelines that empower teams across the company to express the brand with excellence
- Collaborate with writers, strategists, and agency partners
- Elevate the quality of design across every touchpoint, advocating for craft, consistency, and design-led thinking
- Explore new creative formats and cultural opportunities that push the Replit brand forward
Our take
Young students and workers in the tech industry are constantly being encouraged to add programming to their skill-set portfolio to prepare for a digital future. However, getting started with programming environments can be very difficult, requiring computer science knowledge to even boot the programming environment in the first place.
Replit embeds pre-booted programming environments within web browsers, allowing users to begin coding immediately without having to set up the client. The website supports most popular programming languages such as C++, Javascript, and PHP, in addition to frameworks such as Django and Sinatra. The service can be accessed for free and provides access to everything required to program applications including libraries, tutorials, and collaborative capabilities.
The company has attracted millions of users, including some at major tech companies like Google, Facebook, and Stripe. It has raised considerable funding to spend on hiring talent and further developing its product as it moves to capture more success going forwards.
