Who you are

What the job involves

  • By joining the 2025 Expedia Group Graduate Program (EGGP) in Commercial Sales & Account Management you’ll gain exposure to some of the many facets of our travel ecosystem
  • You’ll join Expedia Group as a permanent employee and receive customized professional and career development opportunities, mentoring, and support for the first 12 months, to set you up for success in your future career at Expedia Group
  • Start Dates: we are actively exploring a range of start dates for these positions, likely between April to July, and will confirm availability with candidates
  • Onboarding: dedicated onboarding activities to help you learn about Expedia Group and set you up for success in your new role
  • Learning Series: continued learning throughout your program to build technical and professional skills
  • Social Events and Networking: build your network with other participants in the program during socials and join our Inclusion Business Groups
  • Support Network: mentorship from a dedicated structure of leaders and navigators (buddies) as well as the Emerging Talent and Learning & Development teams; access to Expedia Group mentoring programs
  • In Travel Partners and Media (TPM), we manage Expedia Group’s business-to-business (B2B) relationships - ranging from large airlines, hotels, vacation rentals, cruises, car rentals, financial institutions, travel agents and more - which connect partners with all that EG offers in pursuit of their goals
  • By joining the 2025 Expedia Group Graduate Program in Commercial Sales & Account Management, you’ll be immersed into one of our commercial teams that stretch across our supply partnership, B2B partnership, and Media & Brand partnership teams
  • You’ll assist your team in growing and optimizing an account portfolio focusing on the adoption of EG's full suite of products and tools
  • You’ll develop an understanding of the sales techniques used in partner engagements to drive business needs
  • You’ll uncover partner needs by listening to partners, analyzing internal data, and exploring external sources
  • You’ll understand the industry and competitive landscape of your team

Our take

Expedia is an online travel agency. They enable users to access a wide range of services including airline tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals, cruises, vacation packages, and various attractions and services via the world wide web and telephone travel agents. Its primary web businesses include Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Hotwire.com, and Egencia.com.

Between 2021 and 2022, Expedia has been selling and merging a list of its sub-brands in a bid to simplify its operations, including Egencia and Classic Vacations. Due to plummeting share prices, mostly in the case of its sub-brands, Expedia has been leveraging its subsidiaries' customer base and merging them into the company’s core brand. Contrasting this move, Expedia has also been partnering with tech start-ups in a bid to make travel more accessible to underserved groups. Becoming Rentable, a travel company for the disabled is one of 12 startups that are part of Expedia Group’s new Open World Accelerator Programme.

What this indicates is Expedia’s shift from buying other travel companies and a move towards enhancing the experience of its preexisting customer base. This move is aiding in a long-term plan for greater long-term traveler loyalty, utilizing Expedia’s vast amounts of data, not just from reviews, but from check-in, cleanliness, communication, cancelations, etc to inform how guests experience a property.
