Who you are
- Experienced with 15+ years of working in an engineering organization leading complex cross-functional technical programs
- Experienced with 10 years of Software development background, preferably cloud storage and compute products
- Capitalizing on their vast knowledge and experience to influence technical discussions, summarizing outcomes and next steps
- Skilled at communicating across a diverse set of engineering and business stakeholders
- Hyper-organized and capable of coordinating across multiple independent work streams and organizations
- A role model for effective execution practices, driven by an attuned sense of priority and urgency
- Able to leverage their experience in program delivery to influence improvements to our tools, operations, and architecture
- Familiar with MongoDB or a comparable technology
- Interested in business automation work such as scripting in Python, Google Apps Script and Slack
What the job involves
- He MongoDB R&D Engineering Technical Program Management team leads strategic R&D programs that unite teams to tackle the most complex challenges, advancing our company’s goals in order to deliver great products that our customers love
- As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will partner with key Engineering, Product, Product Design, Marketing, and Analytics stakeholders to conduct data-driven experiments and deliver features for MongoDB
- As a seasoned program leader and part of MongoDB’s server group, you will be the single threaded program owner for MongoDB 9.0 Next Gen suite of product offerings and its successful delivery
- This role would also be responsible for all executive (SVP+) comms and escalations for Core Server Group
- Leverage technical acumen and analytical skills to drive engineering programs forward and maximize business value delivery
- Recognize patterns in a sea of information and take action accordingly
- Design, maintain, and improve the processes and tools that power program delivery
- Build strategic partnerships with Product and Engineering stakeholders
- Expand knowledge into new domains as called upon
- Act as a mentor to junior TPMs and lead by example
- Embody MongoDB's core values and leadership principles

Essentially, the company develops tools and blueprints to help businesses and organisations modernise their legacy applications, migrating them to the MongoDB database and the MongoDB Atlas cloud database. With this initiative, MongoDB is particularly taking aim at Oracle customers with ageing applications running on the Oracle relational database system.
