Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of closing experience in a quota-carrying role selling b2b SaaS to mid-market
- Overachieving sales goals (President’s Club, Rep of the Year, etc.)
- Excellent writer and speaker
- Self-starter, quick learner, and avid prospector
Desirable
- Experience with MEDDIC is helpful
- Previously a top-performing SDR or experience in sales development in a hyper-growth startup
- Experience selling to sales organizations or marketing leaders
What the job involves
- The Growth Account Executives are focused on landing new customers and driving new business. You’ll own and manage the sales cycle to ensure Orum’s growth within the commercial market
- The role requires the ability to plan and strategize on prospective customer engagements, and collaborate with Sales Development Representatives, Solution Consultants, and Customer Success Managers to bring home new logos. We’ll provide you the training to succeed and once fully ramped, you'll have in-depth knowledge of our technology and have enterprise software sales skills
- The Growth Account Executive position will have ownership over all elements of bookings growth. This includes prospecting, Champion building, generating opportunities, managing Pilots, and closing net new business. AE's are quota-driven and represent Orum in the fie
Our take
While Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms such as Salesforce and Salesloft have undoubtedly helped shorten the sales cycle, particularly by helping generate high value leads, the onus is still on sales teams to manually reach out to potential customers.
This part of the sales process has long been taken at face value, despite how much time sales agents lose by calling bad numbers, reaching voicemail, and navigating existing account data.
Orum is aiming to change this with an AI powered platform that filters out poor numbers and automates voicemails while calling multiple numbers simultaneously, all in a bid to get sales reps on live calls as quickly and often as possible. That Orum plugs into the major CRMs like Salesforce, rather than competing with them, should help its cause.
Orum’s trajectory has been very positive thus far, frequently expanding its headcount, achieving impressive Series B funding and winning a number of high-profile customers such as Salesforce partner Simplus and data protection company Clumio.
