What the job involves
- Be the first hire to join the sales team and work closely with the Head of Sales to advance deals in the pipeline, and help grow the sales organization. Great opportunity to join at the ground floor and grow with the company
- Research prospects, identify key contacts, and educate, qualify, and develop contacts to generate sales-ready leads and opportunities via outbound prospecting
- Develop and execute on cold calling and email campaign strategies to qualify potential customers as a match for Ridepanda’s products and services. Strategize with team members to innovate
- Partner with the marketing team to drive interest in Ridepanda’s solutions with events and promotional resources
- Monitor and maintain new and existing account information in Hubspot
- Systematically capture customer interactions accurately to forecast opportunity status in our CRM
- Follow monthly metrics to achieve goals to ensure company revenue objectives are met
- Diligently meet weekly sales activity goals across phone, email and social media
- Improve the overall sales development process
- Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of our product, services, industry trends, and competition
- Identify innovative ways to demonstrate the value of the Ridepanda offering effectively
Our take
Two-wheel electronic vehicles have gone through an explosion recently, with hundreds of different varieties in each category available in the marketplace. While the benefits of electronic light vehicles are obvious - convenience, low running costs, environmentally friendly - it can be difficult for anyone to find the right one for them. Ridepanda, a company of self-described e-ride evangelists, aims to be a one-stop shop to help anyone find and purchase their ideal ride.
As the first online marketplace for micro-mobility, Ridepanda competes mostly against general marketplaces like Amazon and Facebook Marketplace, and against manufacturers' own e-commerce offerings. However with founders from Lime, Bird and Scoot, the company is experienced in the market and able to curate a wider range of vehicles and effectively target customers. Additionally it offers a range of support services such as assembly instructions, maintenance tips, repair assistance, and insurance, which are typically offered on a case-by-case basis if at all by competitors.
Ridepanda is focused on the US market for now, particularly in large urban centres, though it has eventual goals to expand. It is also planning a subscription service in the future, tapping into additional markets as demand for electric vehicles continues to grow.
