Who you are

2+ years of professional experience engineering data-rich consumer applications
Experience designing and building APIs for applications, consuming APIs in applications, and opinions about what makes a quality API
Excitement about working in a dynamic environment with unanswered questions
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent experience
Authorization to work in the United States

Experience with React web development

What the job involves

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to frontend, backend, and mobile applications up and down the stack
As a small team, we highly value the ability to learn quickly and participate in a shared responsibility for all the elements of our product
You will report to the Head of Engineering
Contribute to the development of our web, mobile, and backend applications
Partner with Product and Design to guide the direction of our products, integrations, and technology. Your participation in the product development process is essential!
Integrate third-party technologies including medical devices and EHRs into our platform
Build mobile features and experiences with React Native
Participate in code review

The gut plays a vital role in the human body, and its complexity makes unique gastrointestinal problems common. Whilst consistent and meticulous analysis can uncover the roots of gut problems, it can be difficult for people to access such consistent help when doctors offer such short sessions and with such long waiting lists.

Salvo Health provides a virtual clinic for chronic gut conditions, allowing patients to gain unlimited access to a team of gut-health specialists. Through its mobile app, the company allows users to receive diagnoses, prescriptions, and contextualized plan adjustments from the experts, in addition to unlimited message communication and advanced health diagnostics.

While specialized Medtech applications have been developed for diabetes, obesity, cigarette addiction, and other health problems, Salvo Health has found a gap in the market with gut health.
