Software Engineering Manager, Workiva

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 4+ years of relevant engineering experience, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree
• Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office

• As the Engineering Manager for our Cloud Infrastructure Team, you will oversee a team of talented engineers who are responsible for maintaining the core cloud infrastructure that powers Workiva’s regulated reporting platform
• Your leadership will be critical in enabling our engineering teams to utilize cloud infrastructure with minimal configuration and maintenance, while maintaining world-class security standards
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a people-first culture that empowers team members to succeed
• Collaborate with engineering teams across Workiva to ensure effective and reliable usage of cloud systems and infrastructure
• Oversee the management and operation of numerous Kubernetes clusters and supporting services, ensuring they are optimized for performance and security
• Develop and operate core networking solutions, including AWS Networking, Cloudflare WAF, DDOS protection, and Zero Trust frameworks
• Implement and maintain security tooling to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the infrastructure platform
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure operating expenses, ensuring cost efficiency
• Guide the team in scoping complex projects, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions
