Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have a consistent track record as a strong operational contributor, supporting the analysis, design and implementation of workflows and processes across a range of functions
- They have experience in Sales and Operational processes, outsource engagements, program execution and scaling workflow opportunities
- They are a strategic and analytical problem solver and skilled operator with the demonstrated ability to successfully deploy new structures and coordinate execution
- Rapidly scaling organizational design - process, tools, people, reporting
- Process mapping, workflow design and optimization expertise
- Experience with Inside Sales operations
- Experience with Business Marketing
- Experience with Ad Sales and potentially also ad sales and ad tech experience
- Familiarity in working with Ad Tech, media or digital advertising industry
- Sales mindset with proven ability to design and implement scalable processes across the customer lifecycle
- Experience in facilitating multiple project teams with a wide-range of functional skills
- Experience simplifying complexity and effectively communicating with business and technical executives, as well as external stakeholders
- Self-starter with strong collaboration skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and is comfortable with ambiguity
- BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
- 8+ years experience program management

What the job involves
- We are looking for a Senior Program Manager, SMC Operations to join Snap Inc our Small and Medium customer sale channel
- This role will join a foundational team which will propel the SMC strategy and vision forward through operational excellence
- Through defining, implementing and managing the SMC operational structures and processes, this role will be pivotal in contributing to the scale and growth of the SMC business unit
- Support the expansion of the SMC sales channel operational engine
- Develop and manage the ongoing processes that support scaling SMC wide initiatives to move the business forward
- Design and implement operating models that predictably deliver against strategic goals through large-scale programs
- Create roadmaps, project plans, change management plans, tasks and reporting methodologies on progress
- Design and implement optimized workflows and processes to enable functional teams’ delivery on goals. Identify gaps and implement scalable solutions and/or test new initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including SMC Revenue Program, Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, Data Operations, Partnerships, Measurement, and Data Science to achieve business goals
- Support the evolution of SMC business unit operational metrics to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiencies
- Partner with Sales Ops in defining operational solutions development, including areas such as tooling improvements for sales & marketing, trainings, QA, and sales communications
- Execute complex and time-critical projects through strategic and prioritized approach for resolution. Use data to influence decisions
Our take
Snap is the social media giant that owns Snapchat, a social media mobile app released in 2011. Created to serve as a more emotive communication form than texting, the app has gained mass popularity, reaching upwards of 400 million daily users worldwide.
After rejecting a billion dollar acquisition from Meta (then Facebook) in 2013, Snap has found itself in competition with the social media giant, particularly with Instagram. Despite this, the company has marked a place for itself in the ever competitive social media space through developing features like a Discover tab, augmented reality lenses, in-app games, ads and monetisation options, as well as launching its paid service, Snapchat+.
Snap has so far not earned an annual profit since going public in 2017, but as Snapchat's user base has continually increased it has nearly closed the gap. Like other tech companies it suffered in late 2022 due to a surprise drop in advertising revenue, but has been rebuilding to its former trajectory since then. Given Snapchat's lasting popularity amongst young people, further success appears likely.
