Our take
Muse Group was born from the overwhelming success of Ultimate Guitar. Following the launch of Ultimate Guitar’s mobile app in 2007, the company began acquiring other online music brands in 2012. By 2021 the company had acquired 7 companies and launched its own music education platform, MuseClass.
Muse Group now acts as the parent company for some of the most popular music and audio brands in the world, including Audacity, StaffPad, MuseScore, and Tonebridge. Since the formation of Muse Group, the company has been able to streamline cross-product innovation and further its commitment to providing a range of accessible, open-source tools.
With this momentous success, the company is looking to further expand its international network and establish itself as one of the leading providers in the ever-evolving music industry.
