Who you are
- Significant sales experience in new business and/or account management business role within financial services, alternative investments, or B2B SaaS sales
- Demonstrable success and a record of hitting quota and retention targets
- Negotiation skills as it relates to renewal upsells, cross-selling, and additional product add-ons
- Working knowledge of the financial market data space, alternative assets, and financial services industries
What the job involves
- As a Senior Account Executive at Preqin, you will make an immediate sales impact and develop a strong pipeline
- In this role, you will be responsible for generating new subscription agreements with firms across the market by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities
- You will also be responsible for retaining and growing existing account revenue in a designated sales territory
- Manage the sales process from beginning to end, securing introductions with decision makers while providing support to users, achieving, and surpassing your sales quota
- Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities within a defined sales territory; this includes new prospective customers and within an existing customer base
- Provide prospective new business clients with an understanding of Preqin’s products and offerings while developing new relationships with key stakeholders at each firm
- Manage all aspects of the renewal cycle for our client’s subscription relationships, with a focus on expansion opportunities within accounts and subscription renewals. This includes proactive and consultative client support, ensuring high retention and net revenue growth
- Provide clients and prospects with detailed proposals, product demonstrations, and consultations (in person preferred, or via phone)
