Who you are
- 7+ years of experience in IT
- Familiarity and willingness to learn experience with observability solutions
- Solid experience in infrastructure design and cloud architecture
- Solid experience in site reliability for SaaS products at scale
- Solid experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos/Mimir/Cortex, OTEL, and/or similar
- Experience with orchestration systems like Kubernetes using Helm, Kustomize, etc
- Familiarity with on-prem and air-gapped deployments on Kubernetes
- Multi-cloud experience with expertise in at least one AWS/GCP platform
- Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment automation tools (Github Actions, etc.)
- Familiarity with deployment strategies like blue-green, rolling deploys, canary deploys, etc
- Experience in a mainstream language with expertise in GoLang (or expertise in any other major programming language and willingness to learn and use GoLang)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ANSIBLE)
What the job involves
- We're seeking an Senior Infrastructure Engineer with proven knowledge of K8s infrastructure to design, develop, and deploy our observability infrastructure as a service
- This role is central to SentinelOne's ability to monitor our own solutions, requiring experience in building robust solutions for data collection, storage, and analysis
- You'll have the opportunity to own and improve critical systems, enhancing our engineering teams' visibility and software delivery capabilities
- Achieve high operational efficiency for services you own (based on Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos, OTEL), focusing on reliability and cost-effectiveness, including optimizing cloud resource utilization
- Emphasize automation to reduce the toil and pager burden
- Enable operational visibility through Infrastructure as Code, Observability, and best practices
- Design and implement robust systems and platforms that enable other SentinelOne engineers to deliver features safely, quickly, and reliably
- Administrate tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos/Mimir/Cortex, OTEL,..
- Work on both Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE) and cloud resources (AWS, GCP)
- Troubleshooting and Technical Issue Resolution: Swiftly identifying and resolving complex technical issues to maintain system integrity and performance
- Review the work of other team members and provide constructive feedback following S1 standards
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Working across different teams to strategically shape system requirements and ensure that the platform meets the needs of various stakeholders
- Be accountable for features from the requirements refinement phase to successful production deployment
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production readiness

Cybercriminals are now leveraging the power of automation to make the current threat landscape too advanced for a lot of legacy antivirus software. SentinelOne is a cybersecurity company that matches this automation, with machine learning-focused software that is built to help businesses battle online attacks.
The company expanded the scope of its business from the endpoint security market to three markets valued at a combined $30 billion, including the corporate endpoint security and IT operations management markets. This gives SentinelOne a bigger potential customer base, although also puts them in direct competition with more focused cybersecurity companies, in addition to its biggest competitor, CrowdStrike.
When the company went public, it made financial headlines as the highest-valued cybersecurity IPO ever, which gave SentinelOne a market cap of $10B, though it's now fallen to around $4B. It has subsequently launched S Ventures, a $100M fund, through which SentinelOne invests in cybersecurity startups and has expanded its partnership with major tax firm KPMG to accelerate cyber investigations and responses to threats.
