Role
Who you are
- 10 or more years of corporate tax experience with a Law Firm, Big 4 accounting firm and/or corporate tax department
- Possess a solid understanding of broad corporate income tax concepts including experience with M&A transactions and tax implications of foreign operations
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication (both written & verbal) and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to distill complex tax concepts into clear, actionable advice for both tax and non-tax stakeholders
- Strong computer skills utilizing MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline driven, dynamic environment
- Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance, MS in Tax, J.D. or CPA preferred
What the job involves
- Robinhood is looking for a skilled Senior Manager to join our rapidly growing team
- This role will be reporting to the Senior Director of Tax
- You will help lead our tax team to support new global product launches and corporate transactions in pursuit of the company-wide objectives
- The Senior Manager Tax, Product and M&A position will be located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA

- Serve as a tax team lead to collaborate with product, legal, and finance teams to identify tax risks and opportunities related to new product launches and business initiatives
- Analyze new initiatives and provide comprehensive income and indirect tax requirements based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders
- Drive system requirements and testing on new initiatives with engineers and data teams
- Lead tax structuring planning opportunities related to domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, and reorganizations
- Conduct and oversee tax due diligence for potential acquisitions and investments
- Manage post-acquisition tax integration planning and partner closely with legal, finance, and corporate development teams to ensure tax requirements are met
- Monitor changes in US and foreign tax law as they related to Robinhood’s operations
- Manage external advisors to collect feedback from subject matter experts as required
