Our take
Breaking Barriers is a UK charity dedicated to helping refugees rebuild their lives through meaningful employment. By offering advice, skills training, English support, and help transferring overseas qualifications, they're giving people the tools and confidence they need to start again. And with global displacement at record levels, their work matters now more than ever.
The impact they're making is clear, too. In the last year alone, Breaking Barriers supported 1,450 people and helped them achieve 904 positive steps forward, from jobs and training to volunteering and further education. In a time when supporting refugees and displaced people is more important than ever, Breaking Barriers is playing a huge role in helping them rebuild their lives, and as they continue to expand nationally, their ability to change lives will only keep growing.
