Staff Software Engineer, Sixfold

• At least 8 years of experience designing and developing software architecture, with a proven track record of implementing large-scale, distributed systems
• Expert-level Python skills, including deep knowledge of its ecosystem and best practices for building robust, scalable applications
• Comprehensive experience with cloud technologies and microservices architectures, particularly in AI and machine learning contexts
• Successfully led the architectural design of and mentored teams in at least one major ML or AI-driven product or platform
• Mastery in building and scaling systems using enterprise architecture components like microservices, serverless functions, message queues, and event pub/sub models
• Deep understanding of API design, including the ability to articulate tradeoffs between REST, GraphQL, and gRPC architectures
• Proven expertise in performance testing and optimization and designing for system resiliency, including identifying and mitigating potential bottlenecks and failure points

• Develop standardized APIs and protocols that allow for easy addition of new AI services and capabilities to the platform
• Partner with our AI research team to stay ahead of emerging technologies and incorporate them into our architecture
• Lead the technical design reviews and provide mentorship to our engineering team, fostering a culture of architectural excellence
