Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, or a related field of study and two years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
- Must have two years of experience in each of the following skills: producing Reports using Adaptive Insights, Excel and Power Point; using SQL and Database Management; creating, managing, and optimizing complex financial models, including sensitivity analyses, scenario planning, and integrated financial statements (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow); working in Enterprise resource planning systems; applying accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), including revenue recognition, accruals, and expense matching; following budgeting and forecasting processes; and performing variance analyses to identify trends and actionable recommendations
What the job involves
- Support the annual budgeting cycle and long-term strategic planning, ensuring alignment with the company objectives
- Lead budget and headcount negotiations across departments, ensuring alignment with the organizational goals, and maintain the payroll model for accurate forecasting
- Serve as a strategic business partner to Sales, Marketing, and Services (S&M), and Systems and Finance (G&A) departments, offering financial guidance and insights to support effective business decisions
- Lead the contract review process across the organization for all the software licenses, driving cost-saving initiatives through vendor consolidation and elimination
- Responsible for monthly operating review, P&L review, and investor financial presentations for the executive team
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, ensuring consistent alignment with the corporate strategy and objectives
- Analyze deviations and propose corrective actions
- Maintain the Adaptive Insights enterprise planning platform to streamline processes and improve data integrity
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to streamline processes, develop automation tools, and improve accuracy in financial reporting
Our take
Formlabs' founders met at MIT in 2011, and set about creating a company that would disrupt the 3D printing market. While the majority of the industry was experiencing a crash, Formlabs managed to buck the trend by implementing additive manufacturing (stereolithography) to a desktop form factor.
While many 3D printing manufacturers have tried in vain to market their hardware to home users, Formlabs has maintained a laser-sharp focus on serving the needs of professionals and large-scale companies such as Coke and Sony. Striving to keep costs low while maintaining an optimal user experience, the company has sold well over 100,000 printers.
With considerable funding at its back, Formlabs has continued to develop new solutions such as a series of mass manufacturing solutions that enable its customers to dramatically increase their 3D printing output. As the largest supplier of professional SLA and SLS 3D printers in the world, the company is well set to further its position and achieve further global growth.
