Role
Who you are
- We’re looking for a self-directed, analytical, and curious Senior Data Scientist with 5+ years of hands-on experience to join our team working on the core optimization and bidding logic of the Nexxen Demand-Side Platform (DSP)
- Masters/Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a data science or applied machine learning role, ideally in a high-scale, real-time environment in AdTech
- Proficient with applied machine learning techniques (classification, regression, evaluation metrics, etc.), especially tree-based models like XGBoost
- Comfortable navigating large, complex legacy codebases and proposing changes to production systems
- Strong programming skills in Python, and SQL
- Experience with Scala/Apache Spark for distributed data processing and machine learning at scale
- Familiar with Deep Learning using frameworks such as PyTorch/Tensorflow
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to synthesize technical findings into clear, actionable insights

What the job involves
- You will work on problems at the intersection of machine learning, large-scale data processing, and ad delivery performance
- Your work will directly impact how we bid, win, and optimize impressions across real-time programmatic advertising exchanges
- Design, implement, evaluate and help deploy machine learning models for bidding, pacing and KPI prediction (Click, Action, Viewability etc.)
- Analyze large-scale behavioral and performance data using Spark (Scala/PySpark), SQL, and Python
- Deep dive into complex, legacy codebases; you should be comfortable navigating and improving existing systems
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other data scientists to define problems and deliver end-to-end solutions
- Write clear, concise technical documentation and communicate insights effectively across both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Video has been an invaluable marketing tool for businesses since the beginning of TV advertisement, but modern technology has dramatically changed how such content is consumed. On-demand omnichannel streaming services and CTV has provided unique opportunities for advertisers to develop their audience engagement strategies, but without the appropriate technology platform, this can be difficult to navigate.
Nexxen provides an end-to-end self-service CTV & video marketing platform, helping to provide businesses with the appropriate engagement tools to future-proof their video marketing. The platform includes AI-driven analytic tools based on audience data, marketplaces for the self-serving of media for campaigns, in addition to analytic tools to assess the success of campaigns in real-time.
Whilst several other start-ups provide either video engagement tools or self-serve video marketing marketplaces, Nexxen has taken the smart angle of combining both into a single platform, whilst specialising in futureproofing companies for the rise in CTV engagement demands. The company aims to save clients money, time, and operational complexity by unifying where they operate their video advertisement campaigns into a single platform.
