Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in structured credit, capital markets, or fintech lending, preferably with exposure to asset-backed facilities
- Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills with institutional lenders, banks, and alternative credit fundsDemonstrated success raising and managing credit warehouse lines or similar structures
- Strong financial modeling background
- Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment
- Experience in construction finance, supply chain finance, or similar asset classes
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a strategic and execution oriented Head of Capital Markets to lead the expansion and management of our credit facilities
- This is a highly cross-functional leadership role with direct impact on our growth, unit economics, and scalability. You’ll partner closely with our executive team, legal, finance, and capital partners to ensure we have the right capital stack to power the next phase of our Early Pay Program
- Lead the sourcing, structuring, negotiation, and execution of new credit facilities to support the growth of our Early Pay Program
- Manage relationships with existing capital providers ensuring compliance, reporting, and facility optimization
- Own capital strategy, including forecasting liquidity needs and modeling different structures to optimize cost of capital and flexibility
- Collaborate with internal teams (finance, legal, product) to operationalize credit lines and ensure seamless fund flows
- Develop and maintain detailed reporting and insights for internal stakeholders and external lenders
- Stay on top of market trends and investor appetite across structured credit, private debt, and alternative lending
- Serve as a key thought partner to the Chief Credit Officer and executive team on funding strategy
Our take
Large construction projects take a long time to finish, and subcontractors can get caught up in the flow of money, waiting up to 80 days to be paid by general contractors. Such situations not only lead to project delays but also impose the burden of financing their project segments onto subcontractors. However, Constrafor has set out to change this through its SaaS construction procurement platform.
The platform streamlines information and documentation for how general contractors work with subcontractors, and assumes the risk for the subcontractor invoice - freeing up cash flow. The general contractor then reimburses Constrafor for the invoice, with the company making its money by taking in about 2% of the value of the invoice.
Its a valuable offering, and Constrafor finds itself in substantial demand, standing out for offering tailored solutions that are designed and developed on behalf of these companies. With good funding at its back, the company can continue elevating its operations as it continues to support pivotal aspects of the construction process.
