Role
Who you are
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 5+ years of fund accounting experience, ideally in private equity, venture capital, or a related industry
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or Luxembourg GAAP, with experience preparing financial statements and managing audits
- Proven ability to work with complex fund structures and understand legal documents such as Partnership Agreements
- Experience with financial software and an interest in leveraging technology to improve accounting processes
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, capable of working with internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Fluent in English (C1) is required
What the job involves
- As the Fund Accounting Lead, you will take ownership of our fund accounting operations, driving excellence in financial reporting and compliance
- This role provides a unique opportunity to shape bunch’s accounting processes and team, with a focus on scaling operations as the company continues its rapid growth
- Lead and evolve bunch’s fund accounting and reporting processes to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and compliance across diverse fund structures
- Streamline fund accounting workflows, leveraging automation to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Establish bunch as a trusted partner in the private markets by delivering consistent, high-quality financial insights and reports to fund managers and investors
- Develop a scalable accounting framework that supports bunch’s mission to become a leading player in private market operations
- Prepare the accounting team for growth by introducing best practices, mentoring staff, and laying the groundwork for future expansion
- Oversee fund accounting processes, including financial statement preparation, NAV calculations, and compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, Luxembourg GAAP)
- Drive the integration of automated tools and systems to improve fund accounting workflows, reducing errors and increasing scalability
- Collaborate with technology teams to refine tools for managing fund data, reporting, and accounting activities
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial reports, audits, and regulatory filings
- Serve as the point of contact for fund managers, LPs, auditors, and other stakeholders, managing relationships and responding to queries
- Develop and document accounting policies and procedures to maintain consistency and adherence to best practices
- Train and guide the team in addressing accounting challenges and developing robust solutions

Berlin-based Bunch is an operating system (OS) for investors to syndicate deals across private markets. Both founders’ previous experiences in fintech made them uniquely aware of the barriers preventing access to private markets and how to knock them down.
The private market investment has boomed in recent years, with around $10 trillion in assets under management. Considering the growing state of the market coupled with the company's current work to refine its platform, Bunch can expect to see greater demand and further uptake of its services. Bunch is attractive to customers due to how easy it makes participation in private markets.
Since its founding in 2021, Bunch has attracted over 500 investors to its platform and now administers around €150 million in assets. Following 2024 funding, the company is focused on growing its userbase and product capabilities.
