Role
Who you are
- A Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience working with relational and analytics databases (PostgreSQL, Athena, Apache Iceberg)
- Strong SQL skills (complex queries, optimizations, indexing strategies)
- Proficiency in Python (including pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn)
- Hands-on experience with ELT pipelines and DBT
- Understanding and being an expert of our *data modeling and analytics concepts
- Experience working with AWS or GCP data services
- Experience with Metabase, Tableau, Looker, or Superset for reporting and dashboarding
- In addition, the following skills will help you thrive in this role:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills—you're a team player who can explain data concepts to stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to work autonomously
- A proactive and structured approach to data engineering and analytics
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new tools and best practices
Desirable
- Experience with *CI/CD and data lifecycle management
- Familiarity with *Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools
- Good knowledge of FHIR or HL7 data models
- A passion for building a scalable and impactful data infrastructure
What the job involves
- Joining the Data Platform Team, reporting to the Lead Data Engineer, your mission is to participate in facilitating access to data in order to promote scalability
- You will take part in the transition from a web centric to data centric design combining Apache Beam, Iceberg, Kafka with microservices on the cloud
- Design pipelines and know how to maintain and optimize them
- Have a good knowledge of AWS or GCP and its services
- Provide technical knowledge and have the will to build skills on data processing and lakehouse, our future backbone technology
- Provide expertise in data modeling to help build the company datamarts
- To succeed in your mission, you will be part of a skilled and collaborative team working with modern data technologies
- At our company, you will have weekly meetings with your manager to support your growth, quarterly OKRs to provide clarity on objectives, and an annual appraisal focused on your career development

Our take
The MedTech boom has seen many innovations through the 2010s, and Implicity, a remote patient monitoring and cardiac data management company, has definitely had a clear lineage of growth since its founding in 2016.
Implicity develops software to monitor and analyse the information from pacemakers and cardiovascular devices to aid physicians and healthcare professionals through all stages of a patient’s treatment. However, maintaining growth on one product alone is hard, especially with so much Medtech competition. Implicity remedies this with its other product, a data analysis platform that uses AI and cloud technology to analyse the devices linked up to its aforementioned pacemaker and cardio health platform. Implicity leverages this data for use in patient management, clinical studies, and R&D.
Playing both fields of MedTech has diversified the draw for hospitals and companies to Implicity. It continues to update and diversify the double offering via updates to its systems with the company hoping to exemplify the continued innovation that is key to MedTech company growth.
