Who you are

- You are technically curious, AI-native and eager to leverage AI to drive operational efficiency. Whether it's mastering new platforms or automating manual tasks, you use technology to multiply your impact
- A proactive communicator who can align diverse stakeholders and lead projects end-to-end. You likely have a background in consulting, operations, or high-level project management
- Based in Zurich or Berlin, with the willingness to travel (specifically for our presence in Davos)
What the job involves
- As Founder’s Associate for Operations & Strategy, you will be responsible for turning an ambitious, high-complexity vision into a seamless real-world experience, from systems design to on-site execution in Davos
- Architect the "operating system" for AI House Davos. You will design the workflows and guest flows that ensure a seamless, high-friction experience for global leaders - from arrival to high-level sessions
- Lead the deployment of our next-generation event platform. You’ll integrate AI-powered tools and automation to streamline registration, scheduling, and real-time house management
- Own the "ground game" during WEF week. You will recruit, brief, and lead a high-performing team of staff and student workers, ensuring every activation and partner meeting is executed flawlessly
- Proactively identify bottlenecks and mitigate risks in a fast-moving environment. You don’t just fix problems; you build scalable systems and post-event analyses to ensure each year is more efficient than the last
Our take
Predicting AI as the most significantly growing tech field of this century, Merantix aims to apply machine learning to sectors that can benefit most from it. After a robust, highly selective vetting process, Merantix identifies founders and collaborates to provide support and funding to scale their businesses. The company integrates all areas of AI, building a complete talent pipeline and fund for venture scaling. Successful examples include Vara, SiaSearch, and Cambrium.
Merantix differentiates itself from typical venture capital firms through its approach. While most VCs invest in established businesses, spreading funds across many companies and taking losses while focusing on winners, Merantix tries to pick winners at the earliest stage.
The launch of an AI Campus in 2021 significantly increased the company's ecosystem, allowing it to explore new fields. Through strategic partnerships with SoftBank and the AI City project in Dubai, Merantix is growing. It has incubated ten successful startups so far and aims to produce even more in the coming years. Merantix is raising a new €100 million fund to co-invest in startups, marking its largest fund yet. This fund will be allocated to co-investing in external startups, investing in incubated startups, and supporting existing investments.
