Role
Who you are
- Experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, with a strong background in handling large datasets, particularly raster data
- Proficient in Python with a strong emphasis on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to dive into and navigate multiple topics, driving innovation to improve data quality and process efficiency
- Understanding of geospatial data applications and processing techniques is a big plus
What the job involves
- We are looking for highly skilled Data Engineers to join our team. LiveEO leverages satellite imagery and artificial intelligence to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making across various industries
- An example is the precise detection of trees and their height in high resolution imagery to protect our customers power grids from tree fall
- The focus of the role is on building robust and automated data pipelines around our geospatial processes that handle terabytes of data
- Our pipelines involve a wide-range of topics such as efficient tiling strategies, merging of different data sources and challenges around various types of digital elevation models (incl. disparity matching & offset-correction)
- Usually these processes serve as pre- or post-processing steps for our Machine Learning models
- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines that efficiently handle large amounts of rasterdata
- Orchestrate and automate data workflows using orchestration engines such as Prefect
- Engage in continuous improvement of the data processing frameworks by addressing challenges associated with digital elevation models, including disparity matching and offset-correction

This regulation mandates companies verify their imported commodities do not contribute to deforestation.

The new deforestation monitoring solution positions LiveEO as a leader in this emerging market.
