Role
Who you are
- 10+ years of experience selling software within the public sector (SLED), especially in achieving beyond set sales goals
- Understands public safety procurement process with knowledge of the NG9-1-1 standards as well as Call Handling Equipment, CAD, and other public safety data system workflows
- Understands moderate technical details related to Prepared's solution in relationship to the 9-1-1 software and services ecosystem
- Excels in navigating complex sales cycles and adept at managing substantial account values
- Has a deep understanding of and established connections within public safety agencies, insightful about their unique needs and challenges
- Exhibits outstanding communication skills, engaging effectively with top-tier decision-makers
- Demonstrates strategic thinking and analytical prowess, capable of crafting and executing sophisticated sales strategies
- Thrives in a dynamic environment, showcasing motivation and resilience
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development in the public safety technology landscape

What the job involves
- We are looking for a results-driven Strategic Account Executive to play a crucial role in our company's growth within the United States' public safety market.
- This pivotal role is centered on expanding our influence and capturing new relationships within the PSAP (Public Safety Answering Points) market, aiming to dramatically increase our revenue and client base.
- Drive Growth: Amplify revenue and market share in targeted public safety agencies, prioritizing customer satisfaction

Our take
Every day, half a million Americans call 911 to report an emergency, and whilst emergency services save lives, their speed and effectiveness are limited by technology. Even though most emergency phone calls are made on smartphones, emergency departments rely exclusively on the anecdotal data provided during phone calls.
Prepared provides a real-time data system for emergency services, allowing 911 callers to livestream, text photo/video messages over SMS, provide pinpoint-accurate GPS location in DMS format and integrate into existing PSAP processes easily. In doing so, Prepared empowers 911 operators to deploy the most effective response for both emergency and non-emergency situations.
The company has shown the potential to significantly innovate upon emergency services (which have traditionally lacked funding). It has also avoided the often long cycle of government procurement by offering the service for free, and currently has over 200 cities signed up, across 40+ states (representing around 20 million citizens). It is unclear how the company will monetise in the future, but it has mentioned a possible freemium element to its service down the line, whilst substantial funding from Andreessen Horowitz, awarded in 2024, will help it to expand its platform.
