Who you are
- If you thrive in a dynamic setting and enjoy working on high-impact projects, this role is for you
- 6+ years of experience in software development, focusing on web applications
- Strong expertise in Python and modern web frameworks (Django is a must)
- Experience with React and front-end development best practices
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design and scalable backend architectures
- Proficiency in SQL databases (PostgreSQL) and ORMs
- Experience with Cloud Services (AWS) in production environments
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Sentry, Grafana)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on clarity and collaboration
Desirable
- Experience in PropTech, or working in Screening and Fraud Prevention, Billing & Payments, e-Contracts, or e-Signature
- Prior experience in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience as a Technical Lead, Staff Engineer, or similar senior technical role

- We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable applications that drive our business forward
- In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop high-impact features, improve system performance, and ensure reliability
- Our engineering team operates in a fast-moving, high-energy environment, where efficiency and innovation are key
- We tackle complex challenges with a strong sense of ownership, and we value engineers who can move quickly while maintaining high-quality standards
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications
- Collaborate with Product Management and Design to define system requirements and technical strategies
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows industry best practices
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure technical excellence
- Identify and address technical debt while continuously improving system performance
- Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability for production systems
- Take ownership of complex technical challenges and system architecture decisions
- Participate in design reviews and technical planning sessions
- Contribute to improving engineering processes, tooling, and automation
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence
- Work closely with engineers across teams to solve cross-functional challenges efficiently
- Bring a proactive mindset, taking initiative to solve problems and drive improvements

The rental market is booming. At the same time, it is becoming more competitive and hard to navigate for both renters and leasing agents. Funnel’s B2B solution allows users to tap into the market as a whole, rather than having to compete against other rental platforms.
The company builds solutions for property management teams to help them better reach and communicate with customers, and ultimately close leases with more efficiency. Funnel actually began by helping landlords manage their rental portfolio, but its 2020 rebrand from Nestio saw it alter its tech offering to address the entire leasing chain instead.
Having secured promising funds, Funnel continues to grow its reach at enterprise and mid-market level across the US - smartly targeting these huge yet underserved sectors of the rental industry. It continues to add new features and integrations to keep its value sharp, reaching for further success in the future.
