Who you are

Experience with Python and SQL (dbt, Golang, or Java are a plus!)
Experience working with structured and semi-structured datasets
Experience implementing complex, real-time, data extraction solutions (ETL/ELT)
Experience with at least one type of database technology
Experience building secure microservices utilizing public cloud technologies (we use AWS)
Containerization experience (we use Docker and ECS)
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (we use Terraform)
Experience collaborating with engineers to build scalable, performant and secure systems
The ability to communicate core concepts to non-technical audiences (through both verbal and written communication)
The desire to work on a collaborative, learning oriented team
A strong track record of problem solving and a “roll up your sleeves” mentality

What the job involves

As a Software Engineer on the Data & API Platform team, you will design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable, secure applications that provide the data to power AgentSync’s products
You’ll be a thought partner and innovation driver, participating in the overall design of new services that tie together AgentSync’s products and systems
Build and maintain best-in-class, scalable mission critical services that are consumed by both external customers and internal services
Work in a hybrid data engineering and api engineer capacity, bringing learnings and software best practices to both areas of development
Identify and assist in implementing ways to improve the team's productivity and efficiency by expanding on our existing tools and processes
Provide timely technical support to our external and internal customers
Advocate for code quality by writing thorough tests, conducting code reviews, creating robust documentation and evangelizing development best practices to the team
Collaborate to design and build application infrastructure (we use Terraform and AWS)
Bring innovative ideas and new technologies to the table when working through challenging problems

The $1.3 trillion insurance industry is a fragmented one, with thousands of insurance carriers working with millions of sales agents across the country, and each state imposing its own constantly-changing licensing regulations. With so many parties and variables, paperwork can be a time-consuming headache. This is the problem that AgentSync has set out to solve.

Created by two former LinkedIn employees, AgentSync provides a platform that gives carriers and agents an easier way to ensure they are ticking the right boxes to be able to work with each other, reducing paperwork time from days to hours.
