Who you are
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of accounting principles and possess hands-on experience managing financial records and reports within the fast-paced environment of AI technology
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- 1+ years of experience in a tech startup environment
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software and systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
What the job involves
- Anyscale, a San Francisco based high-tech AI startup, is on the hunt for a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team
- This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of our financial data, thus contributing significantly to our financial health and compliance within the cutting-edge realm of AI innovation
- Maintain and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of transactions
- Systems administrator for internal financial systems: bill.com, Expensify and Netsuite
- Manage financial reporting hierarchy
- Assist in preparation of accurate monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Perform bank reconciliations and conduct regular ledger maintenance
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
- Stay updated with industry trends, changes in accounting regulations, and company policies
