Senior Engineering Manager, Twitch

• 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Experience running the day-to-day operations of software engineering projects of significant complexity
• Experience in hiring and developing engineers under your supervision
• Experience gathering feedback from customers to inform engineering prioritization
• Background in authentication and authorization systems

Desirable

• The Identity team is responsible for a variety of core systems at Twitch including those that store who-am-I information about users, implement business logic for privacy compliance, and handle authorization and authentication
• These systems sit at the bottom of the call stack of many other systems in Twitch’s microservices-based architecture and are critical to Twitch’s ongoing success
• Developing and maintaining these systems is an ongoing challenge because they are complex, high throughput and require intense focus on security by nature
• As a Senior Engineering Manager, Identity, you will partner with other engineering managers, technical program managers, and product management to modernize and reimagine Twitch’s Identity stack to delight our customers
• Reporting to the Director of Identity, Privacy, and Security Platforms, you will lead a team of 8 engineers as you bring operational maturity and excellence to the team’s authentication and authorization systems
