Who you are
- "Product Engineering" mindset

- Extensive experience in similar roles building technically complex products in any web programming language, with a focus on the backend
- An expert level at server-side, client-side or full stack development. Your final role within the team will depend on your skills and internal training will be provided

Desirable

What the job involves
- We’re not looking for stack experts. We’re looking for smart people who can bring in the best tools and processes to get the job done
- You will work on a day-to-day basis with our product team to design, architect and implement our product. Perk is a next-generation platform to take the pain out of booking and managing business travel
- Product development in Python/Django and/or React of a travel-related web-based product
- Integrations between our product to 3rd party APIs
- System architecture design, implementation, and testing
- Work in an Agile environment with strong attention to a well-documented code, unit testing, and continuous integration

Although business travellers are often at the forefront of driving company growth, booking travel is typically a logistical nightmare as corporate travel tools are underdeveloped and stuck way in the past. Perk has built a platform free from micromanagement, creating an experience that puts business travellers first.
Perk's number of active users has grown year on year. Further, as well as more customers using the platform, those on it are using it more regularly. This is a clear signal that Perk has a product-market fit and is in scaling mode. The company has more than 2,000 customers, including scaleups like GetYourGuide, Breilting, Aesop and Medskin.
Recently rebranding from TravelPerk to Perk, the new name marks the next step in the company's transformation as it accelerates growth and broadens its mission beyond just travel management. The rebrand reflects its ambition to eliminate "shadow work" (hidden time-wasting tasks like filing expenses and chasing approvals), through AI-powered tools such as Perk Pay, which automates spend management and reduces fraud risks.
With dual headquarters in London and Boston as well as a growing footprint, Perk is evolving from a travel platform into a broader productivity partner for the modern business
