Who you are
- We’re seeking a seasoned engineering leader with 4+ years of management experience and a strong track record of delivering platform-level solutions in high-growth environments. You’ll succeed if you:
- Are passionate about empowering engineering teams through robust tooling and frameworks
- Have deep technical expertise, including experience building and scaling systems, ideally with exposure to Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks
- Excel at balancing strategic priorities with tactical execution, ensuring high-impact delivery
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing team while fostering accountability and excellence
- Ideally, bring experience in building platforms in FinTech, with a focus on supporting enterprise customers
What the job involves
- Join us as an Engineering Manager to lead our Application Platform team within the Platform organization. In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to building features and frameworks that empower all of Modern Treasury’s products
- You’ll be at the forefront of creating scalable solutions that enable exceptional product development across our organization, focusing on key areas such as frontend infrastructure, API infrastructure, data import/export frameworks, authentication (AuthN) and authorization (AuthZ) frameworks, among other platform capabilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering leaders to deliver features and frameworks that enable product teams to move faster and with higher quality, at scale
- Define and drive a technical roadmap that aligns with Modern Treasury’s growth, balancing near-term deliverables with long-term scalability and maintainability
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across the engineering organization to identify and prioritize platform-level opportunities that unlock broader business impact
- Drive a culture of engineering excellence and operational rigor within the team, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards
- Mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing team of engineers, supporting their growth and creating a culture of accountability and excellence
