- Relevant Experience and Business Acumen: Experience in working in a Finance leadership role, supporting business growth. Understanding of e-commerce/marketplace and/or classifieds sector is preferred

What the job involves
- We are looking for a Financial Partner to the General Manager of our “Motors” Business Unit which currently serves ca. 50M consumers monthly, offering a wide variety of products within the Automotive category across Europe and South Africa
- The “Motors” business is set to accelerate the growth towards achieving over 500M USD in revenues by delivering the best value proposition to our customers
- To accomplish that, OLX is looking for an individual who will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of “Motors” and will work closely with the General Manager and the Motors Leadership Team to provide strategic financial insights, drive business growth, and ensure operational efficiency
- By partnering with internal teams, the Finance Business Partner will ensure that financial planning and decision-making are aligned with OLX’s goals, enabling us to continue leading in the online marketplace
- This role will support Lukas Draginas, the GM of the Motors Category, focusing on revenue, marketing, and sales efficiency within the FP&A scope. The role will report directly to OLX’s Chief Financial Officer, Suresh Krishnan; and can be based in any of the locations where OLX has operations
- Deep Market & Financial Insight: Cultivate a profound understanding of category KPIs, market dynamics, and financial risks; adapt strategies based on innovative recommendations
- Pricing & Financial Expertise: Act as the finance partner by managing platform SKU analysis, revenue forecasting, and budget control to optimize performance
- Commercial Impact & Analytical Acumen: Enhance sales team efficiency through data-driven insights, optimizing revenue and managing marketing spend for profitability
- Strategic & Collaborative Partnership: Collaborate closely with GMs on long-term planning and M&A opportunities, fostering strong cross-functional relationships
- Effective Communication & Problem Solving: Lead category Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, support pricing MBRs, addressing challenges with innovative solutions
- Category growth facilitator: Enable category expansion by identifying growth opportunities, aligning financial strategies, and fostering cross-functional collaboration
- Partner to the GM: Share goals with the GM, act as a thought partner, and challenge the GM when needed

OLX group started as an alternative to Craigslist outside the US and has since ridden the wave of classifieds, e-commerce and marketplaces to become one the most prominent web platforms in the world.
Over 300 million people use an OLX group website every month. The company has managed to reach this level primarily through the acquisition and integration of emerging marketplaces that typically delight customers with their easy-use and quality range.
The company is now deepening its M&A strategy by integrating further marketplaces and inventories on behalf of its largest platforms, like OLX Autos. The business has already done $1B of revenue since operation.
While some brands have been flying high, others like the Russian-based Avito have become liabilities. Navigating these fluctuations in the fortunes of its ever growing portfolio of brands will continue to pose the biggest challenge for the group.
