Who you are
- Currently working towards a M.B.A
- Good academic standing
- Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026
- At least one previous industry internship, co-op, or project completed in a relevant area
- Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California for the duration of the internship
- Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, particularly LLMs, agentic frameworks, and automation technologies
- Experience with product management tools (Jira, Confluence, Figma, or similar)
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis; Python experience a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making
Desirable
- Previous technical product management internship at a technology company
- Prior experience building or shipping AI-powered products or features
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, AutoGPT, CrewAI, etc.)
- Experience in operations, logistics, or autonomous vehicle domains
- Coursework or projects in human-computer interaction, AI safety, or prompt engineering

- Define product requirements and roadmap for agentic AI solutions that automate and optimize operational workflows across engineering, fleet operations, or business functions
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, software teams, and operations stakeholders to identify high-impact automation opportunities and translate them into product specifications
- Conduct user research and data analysis to measure efficiency gains, validate solution effectiveness, and iterate on agent capabilities
- Build prototypes, write technical specifications, and create go-to-market plans for AI agent deployments
- Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional leadership teams
Our take
Zoox, a self-driving vehicle company, was founded to make personal transportation safer and more enjoyable for all. It has aimed to achieve this goal by creating a new mode of driverless transportation, thus eradicating the safety and logistical issues that come with human drivers.
It revealed its custom vehicle design in December 2020, showcasing something different from just a car without a driver. Uniquely, all four wheels are independent of one another, and the vehicles have no front or back, making them more agile than a standard car. Zoox claims that it is different from other industry players because it has created an entire driverless ecosystem, including the vehicle itself, allowing it to have more control.
The company is fast becoming a major player in an industry that is predicted to be worth $2 trillion by 2030. Electric motors are highly desirable, particularly in an urban environment, as governments look for ways to reduce emissions and improve air quality. Zoox is aiming to play a vital role in this evolution towards more sustainable urban mobility. Amazon acquired the company in 2020 and, despite a general downturn in the sector through 2022, opened its first Zoox factory for robotaxis in 2025, and is testing the autonomous vehicles in multiple cities in the US.
