Who you are
- JumpCloud is looking for a passionate and driven Entry-Level Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on Software Management
- A recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong foundational knowledge of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Go, C++, Rust, Python, Java, or JavaScript
- A passion for technology and a desire to learn new things. We value curiosity and a drive to solve problems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

What the job involves
- This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to launch their career and make a significant impact on a product used by millions of users worldwide
- As an Engineer at JumpCloud, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to simplify IT and security for organizations everywhere. You’ll work alongside a team of experienced engineers, contributing to the development and enhancement of our Software Management features. This includes everything from developing new features that help administrators easily deploy and update software, to ensuring the scalability and reliability of our services
- Building user-friendly experiences: You’ll contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from designing and coding new features to ensuring they are easy for our customers to use
- Collaborating with your team: You’ll work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to bring new features to life. We believe in the power of collaboration and communication to build the best products
- Solving complex problems: You’ll tackle challenging technical problems related to software deployment, package management, and system performance. You’ll be encouraged to think creatively and find innovative solutions
- Learning and growing: We are committed to your professional development. You'll have the opportunity to learn from seasoned engineers, work with a modern tech stack, and continuously expand your skills

Our take
With thousands of companies across the globe moving to a ‘work anywhere’ model, the secure remote access market is booming. JumpCloud provides an open directory platform for simple, secure and frictionless access to corporate technology resources from any device or location. The cloud-native directory acts like a conduit, connecting companies and their workers with all the IT resources needed to do their jobs without compromising security.
It offers a subscription-based model with a variety of packages that can be customized depending on the needs of the client. The company has also has a new app that helps enterprise IT departments with multi-factor authentication, keeping it simple with an accept or deny functionality. It's a smart move considering the world is becoming more mobile-driven.
While the company had concerns over economic uncertainty, it doesn't seem to be affected whatsoever. Given its recent acquisition of Stack Identity and the launch of its Partner Program, JumpCloud is in an exciting position for continued growth.
